⚠️ If you offer Deplo to your customers: install.sh --public-setup is gone. An install that used it and has no account yet gets a setup key on deplo update, so the bare /setup link stops working: run deplo update and use the link it prints. To hand a customer a ready account, install with --owner-email and --owner-password instead, see Offer Deplo to your customers.

  2. An install that was given no domain died on its first read of DEPLO_DOMAIN, and the same crash broke taking over a machine: the takeover unit re-runs the installer before it starts listening, so the wizard sat on Moving the ports for good while the https address kept answering whatever was there before.

Stuck in a takeover? Re-run the installer on the host. It picks up where it stopped, and nothing already brought across is touched:

    curl -fsSL https://deplo.build/install.sh | bash

Then press Take over the machine again. New installs need nothing. Base images also moved to node 26 and bun 1.4.

  3. Hello, world. This is Deplo's first tagged build: connect a repo or pick a template, and Deplo does the builds, the addresses and the certificates on a machine you choose.

What follows is what 0.1.0 shipped with, by area, rather than the 1816 commits behind it.

    • What's in it12
    • Deploy - connect a GitHub repo and push, upload an archive, point at an image, or bring your own compose file. The build runs on the machine you picked, never on your laptop.
    • Templates - a catalogue with variants and a storefront, set up in one dialog with its variables already filled in.
    • Apps - live status, build and runtime logs, a terminal in the browser, rollback to a kept build, resource limits and scheduled commands.
    • Domains - add an address and the certificate arrives with it, with redirects, a password wall, wildcards, several services behind one app, and a warning when the address is not pointing here yet.
    • Databases - managed Postgres, MySQL, MariaDB, MongoDB, Redis and ClickHouse, each with one connection card, an optional public port, and backups of its own.
    • Backups - a schedule per app or database, to a bucket or to a server's own disk, with restore and retention.
    • Previews - an address for every open pull request, with its own variables and a guard for forks.
    • Servers - add a machine and Deplo sets it up by itself, then watches the whole fleet: readings, metrics and disk.
